| ... Will you put them in one when school starts this year? And please, I really don't want this to turn into a mask-bashing or no-mask-bashing session. Just curious what like-minded parents are thinking for next year. We have been in kn95s indoors for the past two years. |
| DC wore won on a lanyard, so it was their call. Mostly, they chose not to wear it. |
| My 6th grader will continue wearing one when community spread is high. So likely she will wear one indoors at the start of the school year. I don’t make her but she is very cautious about getting sick, missing activities and potentially getting her family and friends sick. |
| Yes, for the time being, to increase chances of staying in school as much as possible. |
| Mine will due to a high risk family member. |

Yes though I know good and well they will take it off when around other kids not masking.
I work in the front office of a local independent school that is k-12 and we had about 10-12 parents call a day to have us check in on their kid and their mask wearing compliance (after we went mask optional but the parent wanted the kid masked). Some went as far as to ask us to snap pictures of their 8th graders during the day so they knew they wore it. Please don’t do that parents. It was not a good look. |
| Yes, my kids will continue to mask. 6th and 8th graders. |
| Yes - our schools say they will follow local guidance based on COVID levels - which currently means indoor masking. |

Mine took it off after spring break (Catholic school, so the week after Easter) but put it back on in early May. We were planning to travel in June and her school has an uptick in teachers and students who were out with Covid. We gave her the choice and she chose mask inside, no mask outside until the school year ended.
Honestly have no idea how we’ll approach this year, but my assumption is no mask until kids start missing school and then we’ll get cautious again. She plays a travel sport with fun trips in the winter and I know she’ll be careful then so she won’t miss anything. |
Yes, we still intend to put our kids in KN95, at least for the first several weeks. Will see how things pan out after the initial start. |
| My child's school reinstated mask requirements in May when cases increased. We'll follow whatever the school's rules are. |
| It'd be great for kids to have normalcy, but I think some people are going to force mask their kids forever. COVID is never going away so anyone still masking at this point (even for high cases) is logically going to mask for the rest of their lives in such situations. How sad. |
