For real though, I am Swedish and in pretty much every European country, Karen would be pronounced Kah - ren and not the weird American-English Care-ren.

In most countries the "a" has an "ah" sound, which is why the mama saying "Nay-dave" on the other thread sounds ridiculous.

Oh, by the way is mama pronounced May-may?
