You know, since the thread about Trump is acceptable. What will happen? President Harris? I can’t even imagine.

If after he leaves office, a state funeral, flags at half mast, and the appreciation of a country (except for the small minority of people that cannot stand him personally rather than his policies). And then, we keep going with new leaders but maintaining our commitment to democracy and the US. You know, like with the death of other presidents? No destructive movement based in a cult of personality.

+1 Picture George H.W. Bush’s funeral, it will be no different except perhaps at the National Shrine instead of the National Cathedral.

I am not sure what kind of answer you are looking for, OP, since you clearly understand how succession works in the event of the death of a sitting president. Are you thinking about after Biden is no longer president?

Usually Biden would establish a site for a presidential library, and eventually be buried there.

Trump is an outlier who won't have a library and who will be buried on his tax deductible golf course.

Check the box presidential stuff. I don't get the sense that passions run deep for Biden, neither love nor hate. He's just thankfully not the last guy. People felt passionate about Trump, Obama, W, and Clinton. Biden doesn't get the same attention.
