Anyone heard of Positive Development in Bethesda?

I just heard about this place. Anyone tried it or know anything about it?

NP. I don’t hit it looks interesting. I think it may be new, but appears to have other locations that have been around longer.

Here's a review I found online:

I am a Speech Pathologist. My daughter was diagnosed with a processing disorder as well as OT concerns this year. Although some of her diagnoses fell into my professional arena. I was in over my head. These ladies are the real deal. They have well exceeded my expectations (and I had high expectations). We followed their recommendations and have seen huge progress in a short time. I highly highly recommend this practice.

Any update? Has anyone decided to reach out to them or started services?

Yes. I spoke with a rep about 2ish weeks ago. It’s a combination of DIR/Floortime, speech, ot and mental health services.

Reviving this thread to see if anyone has had any additional experience with Positive Development in Bethesda for DIR/floortime or other therapy. Interested for a 2.5 year old boy recently diagnosed with autism/ASD (level 1). Particularly interested in any experiences getting help there with: adjusting to large or small transitions, emotional/cognitive rigidity, emotional regulation, social communication, and joint attention.

Our child is having a great experience at Positive Development although he is much older. The OT is fun/supportive and we've enjoyed the play therapist who comes to the house. And I've also benefited from talking to their therapist for the parents.

Do they take insurance?

They do take insurance.

I would definitely do this over ABA if I could go back and do it all over again - my Autistic child is grown. I have been following the increase in DIR reimbursement and I think it's fantastic.

What is the age limit? My kid is almost 12 and has ASD

My kid does positive development and is in HS, so 12 is definitely in their age range.

I've filled out online form twice and they never responded. Looks interesting, but no number to call and they are unresponsive.

Hi - we went there for a while. Was great for in person therapy but the in home therapy didn't work out very well for us.
