Any impressive snacks I can put together from stuff found at the grocery store?

Completely forgot that a few weeks ago I agreed to a swim get together tomorrow. I can’t get to the store tonight but have a half hour tomorrow that I can make a quick stop before I head to the pool with my kids. I’m in charge of bringing a couple snacks for the moms.

Other than a nice salsa with chips, anything else more impressive I can shop for and throw together in a half hour? Thanks so much!

Yum!

OP, people like mini-quiches, and they would be ok at room temp.

Now you’re talking. Make it high noon and I’m in!

Seriously though, it’s the pool. Won’t the kids want something from the snack bar?

Throw a cutting board and a big knife from home in your car. Buy a whole watermelon. Slice it up at the pool.

Pre-made veggie tray. Bring a ranch dip and hummus.

Box of crackers and pre-sliced cheese.

Which grocery store? Most will have decent dry salami, crackers, olives, cheeses, and nuts. Many will have good smoked salmon, Boursin or a similar cheese, good bread or crackers, and ripe peaches pears, or other fruit, plus pistachios or almonds.

Snacks for the mothers not the kids, correct? Have grocery store steam a pound of shrimp, throw plastic bag they'll give it to you in a container of ice from home. Buy or pick cocktail sauce. Cut open bag of shrimp & serve on top of the ice. Pick up a tub of pimento cheese and some crostini

Make a Whole Foods 2 hr order to be delivered tonight (or first thing tomorrow), and make something at home
