Why does it matter? How does anyone else’s saving rate impact you? The answers will probably just make you feel bad. This isn’t a good way to start your weekend.

I’ve always saved 20% or so but it pales in comparison to what I’ve lost in the market. C’est la vie!

I think most on DCUM have been fully funding their 401ks, their HSAs, other retirement accounts, put money into 529s for kiddos, while also taking at least one vacation and cash flowed it, and cash flowed a house repair or other large purchase since January. So that would be multiples of tens of thousands saved OP and no additional debt does that help?

Max contribution to 401 k, 11k toward husbands new car, 10k to 529s and probably another 20k to the brokerage account
