What televised or streamed cultural phenom did you skip or never have seen?

It was all over social media, pleas to not spoil but you were not interested and or never once saw?

For me:

Dallas. Never cared or found out who shot JR.

The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
This is Us
Handmaid’s Tale

If I see a meme from any of those, I am clueless.

Any TV series since ER. Any streaming service show except for Bridgerton, and the Crown.
I don’t like violence, gore, or scary stuff. I don’t like fantasy, science fiction, or reality. So pretty much, I haven’t watched TV in the last 15-20 years, save the aforementioned. Oh, and Downton Abbey.

Most of them. I'm from another country and don't have much interest in TV series. I did see Downton Abbey, though. On a related note, I am totally ignorant about most 20th century music, unless it pertains to classical music, since that's what I like. And sports, apart from World Cup soccer.

Let me count the ways and for perspective, I’m 52.

Battlestar Gallactica
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
The Hunger Games
Harry Potter-not even the books
Star Trek (saw the movie with Ricardo Montalban)

Marvel or superhero anything. Hate it all.

Just saw the original Star Wars maybe 5 years ago

Ask me if I’ve seen a documentary and likely the answer will be a yes. Or, anything related to US Presidential history.

Adding after I looked at PP’s lists:

The Handmaids Tale
Downton Abbey
Walking Dead
Ozark

American Idol or any of the copycat shows

TL; DR …if everyone’s talking about it, I haven’t watched it and never will

Friends and Seinfeld. I've seen pieces of a few episodes of each. I get the appeal of much of the type of humor in Seinfeld, I think, but I have less than zero interest in Friends (and it was THE big show during years when I was pretty much its target demographic). Even in reruns and now streaming, neither appeals to me at all. And I'm someone who really loves to laugh and has a long list of sitcoms I enjoy and re-watch. But those two I never could stomach for more than five minutes. I have friends who adore them so I'm not dissing the shows per se, but saying they never attracted me.

This thread is all so individual, though. I thought Severance was brilliantly done and can't wait for more of it. My friend loathed it. And so on. Different strokes.

PP who hates superhero anything. Always always have detested science fiction; hence my disinterest in Star Wars/Trek, etc.

I also can’t stand anything surreal or weird, so no Stranger Things.

Curious, this PP, if you ever watch old tv shows? Not to brag, (ha!) but I binge watched I Love Lucy, What’s my Line and the Dick Van Dyke show all during Covid-this was truly escapism.

I just watched the a Netflix documentary on Jimmy Savile-I know, reality and scary but documentaries are engrossing to me and not manufactured horror.
