SC ruling on prayer in public schools

SC now ruled that public school teachers can lead students in prayer...

what happened to separation of church and state?

I'd been feeling resigned to democratic losses in the future given the economy, inflation, and Biden's approval rating lower than Trump. As an independent, left leaning voter, I've been disappointed in Biden and frustrated with far left and far right.

And yet, I feel now that the SC is pretty much pushing me to to be determined to vote blue. I think I' might register as a democrat for the first time in my life as the latest rulings are scaring the crap out of me (though I'm middle class enough not to be influenced that much by the economy and gas prices on a day to day basis).

Thoughts? Anyone else who tends to be a middle of the road, independent voter?
