My son just asked for chocolate milk (ripple) in cereal and I paused because I have never done that before and my DH said Yeah, its great!
I feel like my kid just went to the dark side. and now I think I need to get dairy chocolate milk to try!
Has anyone else ever tried it? |
| I’ve never had chocolate milk in cereal, but I have had plain milk in chocolate cereal. I don’t see a significant difference. |
| JFC no. No one needs that much sugar in the morning, or any other time of day. |
Agreed. Disgusting. Enjoy the dental bills when you pay for all those fillings, OP. |
| Yes, in Rice Krispies. It’s tasty. |
| No. |
| Gross |
| Hells yes! YOLO. |
| Do it! Don't be so controlling about food. |
| No, I never have. But I’d let my kids try it as a treat. Agree with above - yolo. |
| I put chocolate milk on sugary peanut butter cereal as a treat — although not where my toddler can see me 😂 |
| If you haven't tried chocolate milk in your cereal have you even lived? |
LOL. Fun fact: salt is much worse for teeth than sugar. Look it up or ask your dentist.
Anyway, OP, I am not a fan at all of milk so I wouldn't eat cereal with either white or chocolate milk but my kids absolutely love chocolate milk in their cereal if we have chocolate milk. The older kids are D1 athletes so it didn't hurt their development in any way! I say let the kid have some chocolate milk in his cereal. |
| Yes! Have never tried (am wondering why not?) but have had chocolate cereal that turns the milk into chocolate milk. |
+1 Where does this thing about sugar being bad for teeth come from? I don't eat much cereal or milk at all, so this isn't my thing, but I'd let my kid do it as long as it was a nutritious cereal. People are so weird about sugar. To me the only thing bad about is that if you fill up on it, you are depriving your body of other things you need. But we make things sweet for our kid all the time IN ORDER to get her to eat a broader variety of foods. Like I make green smoothies for her all the time but add honey and vanilla extract so they taste good to her. A little sugar is not going to negate the benefits of the fruit and greens! |
