Why don’t the victims testify? Don’t they want to be heard???

Why do they have to? If you are raped and you go to the police, the police then investigate and the government brings charges. Only then do victims testify in court with a judge moderating and attorneys who have to follow ethical rules doing the questioning and those proceedings are often closed to the public. Afterwards, there is the hope that justice will be served and the rapist goes to jail (which is what motivates the testimony).

But you think that instead of the police and government doing their jobs, the victims should instead be exposed in a public hearing with no moderation and being questioned by whack a doodles like Nancy Mace? And for what? The government is refusing to prosecute. So the victims are laid bare on tv for nothing. Well I guess might be murdered like Virginia.

As someone who is fluent in German, and proficient in French and Italian I can say that her German and French are poor. I have not heard her speak Italian yet to gauge.
