Simple question - we now know the party is chock full of adulterers, multiple convicted pedos, rapists, using prostitutes, obsession with firearms and violent rhetoric, etc. Looks at Greitens, Gaetz, Denny Hastert, MTG, etc.
And that's not even touching on Trump and his brood. Utter and complete degenerates and sadists. What the hell happened to the concept of the measured, stoic conservative statesman? |

Now that redistricting is done and there is basically a permanent GOP advantage in the House, and structural imbalance in the Senate where 65% of GOP senators represent 35% of the country, along with the corresponding Electoral College imbalance, we are about to be living under a tyranny of the minority. |

I agree. They are fully in a fascist mindset. I don’t know that the average GOP voter grasps that yet as they like the “law and order,” “judeo-Christian” type bullcrap, but that’s obviously where the GOP is headed. While most Americans alive during WWII were horrified by the fascism we saw in other countries, many (like those involved in the Business Plot) were inspired by it. Speaking of the Business Plot: it turns out that the GOP has been trying to overthrow the government for a good eighty years. Ike was the last decent Republican. |

Too many people were willing to play along for two long. In another thread I used the analogy of a survivable plane crash. Did you know that in most crashes, a majority of people survive the initial impact and what causes most deaths is flat out denial and panic. People will sit, frozen in their seat, physically able to unbuckle and slide down the slide but they sit. And that is what anyone pondering a vote for the GOP is. Frozen. Willing to pretend that everything is normal, all evidence to the contrary. They have to shake themselves out of their stupor. The GOP has been planning a takeover of the US government for a long, long time. |
