What do you think the T20 list will look like a few years from now?

Pretty much same.
Look at the current T25ish schools.

Rice or Vanderbilt will probably drop out of the top 20

I think they will change the rating criteria and placement outcomes at the 1, 5, and 10 year mark, plus post-undergrad degrees will become highly weighted factors and fakable things like peer reputation will either be eliminated or down-weighted, and student selectivity will have to go as so few are using these factors for admissions any more. They may have to eliminate graduate indebtedness too if there is selective debt forgiveness.

This will cause schools with strong tech programs to rise a bit more and those with high percentages of less employable degrees to drop slightly unless they send a lot of students to grad schools.

It may also cause schools to tighten their admissions criteria as they will double down on those most likely to succeed, and they will work much, much harder at career placement.

What's the T20 now?

Hopefully they will reflect the weightings and criteria that are important to each individual student rather than continuing to pretend that one size fits all.

Career outcome would be the most important factor for almost all students
(except for some super rich families)

They deliberately change the calculations to make the list change a little, but most of the schools on it today were on it when we were looking at colleges. Only a few schools have really changed their general positions over the years.

Plus Notre Dame, UVA, Emory and Washington University.

WashU, Emory, Vanderbilt, Rice will fall as top students choose not to live in handmaiden states.

When was UVA T20? It's barely T30.
Also Emory mostly right outside of T20 anyways.

Notre Dame is a solid school with money power.
It'll remain T20.

I wouldn't count Virginia out yet.
