Lower belly pouch

Anonymous
I’ve always had a little pouch of fat (no it’s not my uterus) under my belly button. I otherwise don’t gain weight in my stomach (more thighs/boobs/butt) but no matter what I do I can’t get rid of the lower belly pouch. I have to imagine it’s hormonal/related to specific foods I eat. Anyone successfully get rid of theirs ?

Yes, I know you can’t spot reduce but even when I lose weight/get in great shape, the pouch remains. Have had it since high school.

Liposuction is all that will work. Maybe a mini tummy tuck.

NP but I’m scared of elective surgery. Why would I do that to myself?

I have had that fat pooch with a similar fat distribution since I was 18 and weighed 105lbs. It's genetic and only going to go away with surgical intervention.

OP here - ugh, thought this was the case but hoping someone quit diary or something and figured it out.

I have it on one side of my belly only and otherwise I’m quite slender. Have been considering cool sculpting since it’s really just the one spot.

Cool sculpting is a waste of money. Do lipo.

I’m slim, but I’ve always had this tendency to have a little tummy.

It goes away in a month or so if I reduce carbs, especially if I IF with keto.

But I’m a runner and don’t feel strong enough to go the distances I want when I’m low-crabbing, and I like carbs, so I am relatively OK with the little tummy. I’d rather keep my beloved pasta and the feeling of being strong during a good run.

I do, however, IF/keto for a month before a beach vacation or big event.

I hate to say it but I also have to do pretty intense carb restriction (keto) with IF to flatten my tummy. That area below my belly button is the last body part to show weight loss. Only worth it to me during pool season.

I’m 5’6” 115lbs. They would laugh me out of the office. It’s really just this one weird area.

No, they wouldn’t.

They wouldn’t and you could probably even do it in office under local.

Jeez, it’s normal.

They wouldn’t laugh. Targeting these small stubborn areas on an otherwise fit person is an ideal use of lipo. I’m going to get it for my armpit fat pockets and I’m slim.

Presumably because you want the pouch to disappear.
