Current composition of Judiciary Committee is 12 GOP, 10 Dems. With Lee out, GOP are down to 11. One more sick GOP Senator from Judiciary and ACB can’t get out of the Judiciary Committee.

Right. Current rules require a SC nominee to testify and be approved by Judiciary Committee. They would need to change the Senate rule to skip those steps. If Grassley gets sick, ACB is delayed until after the election.

Couldn't McConnell just change committee assignments and replace any CV+ Senators?

Right. If he goes to Walter Reed in a helicopter, it means he’s strong enough to walk himself out to the lawn in front of the press. I wouldn’t be surprised by Trump doing this in order to project strength.

If they don’t want him to seen by the press, then they pull the motorcade into the privacy tent near the WH door. If there’s a motorcade, he’s in real trouble.

No, just saying there'd be no images of a sick president, which would matter to Trump. He wouldn't want anyone to see him looking sick.

I am doubtful of this - doesn’t it take many days longer to get to serious enough to need to go to the hospital? This feels like a crazy rumor flying. But PLEASE keep us posted if it’s true and you hear more.

I always watch Nicolle Wallace's show, and she ends it with a profile of one or two Covid victims. There have been a number of people profiled who got sick and and died within a few days.

It is weird that he hasn't been seen all day, if his symptoms are as mild as he's saying they are. You'd think he would want to make sure people see him ok - if, for no other reason, to keep the Dow from panicking.

Marine One is huge and makes a lot of noise, and it's always accompanied by at least one other helicopter.

We're near the path to Walter Reed, so it's likely we'll hear it.

If they want to be discreet about it, they'll drive him there in an unmarked car in the middle of the night, to buy him a few hours before it's all over the news.

I encourage his entourage to get him to Walter Reed if or as soon as he gets short of breath, to receive supplementary oxygen, because as we all know, these cases can spiral rapidly.

I agree. To me “mild symptoms” mean the person is out and about with intervals for rest. He doesn’t have the discipline to not tweet for 14+ hours if he is doing okay. But at the same time, he barely got it and someone can’t get super sick right away. This is all so weird.
