Count 2: Conspiracy to commit murder tampering with physical evidence - Guilty
Count 3: Tampering with physical evidence - Guilty
Count 4: Conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence - Guilty
Count 5: Tampering with physical evidence - Guilty
Count 6: 2nd-degree hindering prosecution - Guilty

Her bond was set at $6 million. Her passport was already surrendered.

Sentencing May 31

Troconis faces up to 50 years in prison if a judge decides to sentence her to consecutive terms. The conspiracy to commit murder charge carries a sentence up to 20 years in prison.

I’m kind of surprised she was convicted of everything.

I think she is guilty, but I’m not sure the evidence proved it. Or at least, I think she knew what she was doing when she was getting rid of the evidence: but I don’t think she had anything to do with the planning of the murder.

I first learned of this case on Dateline, and I was pretty impressed that they ditched the episode originally scheduled for tonight to present today’s verdict as an update in context to the whole case.

She did it.

If Fotis had not taken the easy way out, I don’t know if jury would have found her guilty of the murder charge #1.
I sort of think they needed to convict someone for that.
Or did they have proof she was involved in the attack?

It was conspiracy not murder. Perhaps you can get the Innocence Project interested?

Ok I see. I wonder what evidence they had to support that she conspired with him. I think they will appeal that.
