Duggar son allegedly molested girls including sisters

Anonymous
If you read the Human Rights Watch article, you will see that how the Duggars handled the situation was the more compassionate and responsible way to handle it.

Versus you liberals idiots who want to tar and feather the family and throw them all in jail because they are not big proponents of gay marriage.

And that is what this is - a smear campaign because you hate the Duggars' religion and they are not "politically correct."

When I did watch the show, it never really emphasized their religion anyways.

they have said that their son made a terrible mistake. they sought help. They are not hypocrites. THEY ARE NOT PRO-CHILD MOLESTATION. they have never said that they were a "perfect family" whatsoever. Their daughters deserve privacy.

Leave them alone.

Has some Quiverfull website linked to this message board or something? I feel like some of the posts simply could not have been made by any DCUM type.

Huh. I did not know Andrea Yates was also a Quiverfull. From the article:

Before the Duggars, the most famous Quiverfull parents might have been Rusty and Andrea Yates. Rusty encouraged his wife to continue having more children, regardless of the fact that a doctor had strongly advised against it: Andrea was experiencing mental breakdowns, suicide attempts, and hospitalizations caused by postpartum psychosis during previous births. After her husband left her alone despite a doctor’s orders to never leave her unsupervised, Andrea Yates drowned all five of her children.

You know I don't feel sorry for Josh at all because as an adult he could have made better choice given his past but Andrea Yates? My god my heart aches for her. Her husband can go to hell.

Amen, sister. He really got off easy IMO. I guess he will answer for it in the afterlife, b/c he certainly didn't pay enough for his choices in this lifetime. It grossed me out how he took his girlfriend to his wife's murder trial, also.

They believe in traditional marriage. This doesn't mean that they are hypocrites or support child molestation. Geez."

PP, it might be a smear campaign, but they have opened their own door there. I've watched the show for the last two seasons, and I was really sort of starting to like them. They seem happy (at least some of them do). If they just left it at a show of one happy huge family, this might be different. But they haven't. They can believe in whatever they want, but they don't leave it there. They lobby with the goal that we should ALL have to live by their beliefs. They are attempting to force their beliefs on everyone else. That's their goal. So that's why they're hypocrites, acting like the gay community are dangerous to children when the only one molesting children from their standpoint is sitting within their own family.

I watched the show too and that is why I am supporting the Duggars. If you actually watch the show, you will see that they are a very nice family and they DO NOT shove their religion down anyone's throat.

They hardly even mention religion on the show. I remember one episode where the father talked to a church and they have featured mission trips to help poor communities in other countries by building stuff for them.

the parents seems sincere and responsible and easy going. The kids are nice. Not to mention they are all very photogenic.

Child sex offenders are unlikely to re-offend.

They are NOT the same as adult pedophiles at all.

No, learn to read. Sex offenders that are caught and treated as children are less likely to reoffend.
However, most child molesters are not caught until adulthood. Studies have been conducted. The average adult pedophile began sexually molesting other children at age 15.

I cannot say one way or the other if Josh learned anything from getting to hang out and build homes with a family friend for a summer. It sure doesn't sound like a punishment. Maybe that stern talking to and prayer with the church elders and family did change him. But I wouldn't let him near my children, ever.

Don't you feel kind of gullible falling for the editing and branding of a reality tv show? The Duggars are very politically active and huge proselytizers--the show is edited very carefully to leave that out b/c it is TLCs cash cow and they don't want to offend any of their viewers.

Another huge lie:

the Duggars do not say that everyone should live by their beliefs.

It is you liberals who say that everyone must live by your ideas - that gay marriage is okay and promiscuity is fine and pre-marital sex with many partner is ideal.

You are the ones shoving your "religion" down people's throats.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Oh, wait - you're serious? Read their Twitter feeds, read their webpage, or listen to Michelle's robocall or any of the other dozens of cases of them trying to force their fucked up flavor down America's unwilling gullet.

Then why are they active on political campaigns for politicians who want to turn an individual's personal religious beliefs into law that apply to everyone else?
