Landon folks are delusional

I suspect it was the SJCHS fans that made the comparison, and so there was a response from the Landon faithful. I love the non-sequitur of "What did they do in college?" It is the same kind of self-satisfying back slapping that "We are number one until someone beats us." This is a high school forum. In high school, all those kids on the Landon '17 team were excellent players on one team in the DMV and they happened to be undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation at the end of the season. A feat Landon teams have accomplished four times.
SJCHS, congrats on your season last year. You were really good, like every team ranked #1 at the end of the season.
The eye test, and the transitive property of sports says Prep is better than you this year. Beating a down Bullis team that has lost to St. Albans and Landon by one goal is nothing to celebrate. A competitive loss to St. Tony's is still a loss.

Losing to St. Anthony’s isn’t losing to a DMV team. Prep refused to play so we will never truly know who is the better team this year. What we do know is that St. John’s hasn’t lost to a DMV team since 2019 and due to that they are still the best team in the DMV.

No doubt if SJC gets knocked off by GZ you will see Prep and GZ dad's high fiving outside The Avenue and chugging beers in the middle of Connecticut Ave. They will finally have "scoreboard" for this season over SJC. I'll probably walk up there that day just to see the results. Sit on the McKinley Street hill at the CC Community Center and just watch to see if there is jubilation or misery.

Gonzaga is UVa in Lars' first and second years.

Super athletic and talented but not as disciplined and patient in spots.

If they refine their style and decision making slightly, the can beat SJC.
