Many/most are not in those buckets. |
Actually, the athletes are mostly not going to top 10 or 20. |
That is sad |

Why? They are second semester seniors and anonymous people are on this thread judging them while having zero idea what their story is or why they made the college choices they did.
If anything is sad, it is a 70+ page on an anonymous forum where a bunch of adults are judging children. |
Not true. The vast majority are legacy/athlete/urm. |
I know people in these buckets try to spread the rumor. Their purpose is to discourage kids with top stats but not in those buckets in the same school with their kids to not apply the very top schools. The goal is to increase their kids’ chance. |

Maybe. But facts are facts: This year the vast majority are definitely legacy/athlete/urm. One may not recognize legacy quite as easily -- you don't know the families. |

| Are there any first Gen (college) kids at Sidwell? |
How would anyone know the answer to this? Unless your kid was very close friends with someone and know their parents’ life story. |
Close to zero. May very well be zero. |

It's quite easy to figure this out if you even remotely know the families. I mean, clearly, lawyers, doctors, teachers, nurses, engineers, journalists and on and on all went to college. |
Maybe wait until May or June. Most of the kids haven't posted yet and probably won't because they like there privacy. Others simply haven't made a decision yet. |
