The behaviors at school are AWFUL this week

It's really, really bad. Even the "good" kids are acting out. Students do not respect the adults in the building or the rules and routines of the year.

I'm not surprised so many teachers are quitting

So, as a parent what are you doing about it.

I work in a school. That's how I know the behaviors are bad--I see it first hand. I work with different grades and it's bad all around.

In my opinion--parents care more about being friends with their kids than disciplining. Students don't respect adults anymore.

So, let me get this straight. You're on the verge of summer vacation and students are both frustrated and acting out? And the teachers think that this is a fatal flaw of the students - that they act out near summer vacation and don't respect the status quo?

Wow. You're right. A real revelation here.

It sounds like the teachers have lost control. I wouldn't blame children.

Yes yes definitely blame the teachers, not your precious snowflake who is sassy and talking back. What can the repercussions be? Take away recess? Oh no--they must not have their play time removed. Lower their grade? Can't do that, parents complain when their kid who barely did homework doesn't get an A. Take away their phones?? Personal property!!! Yeah it's not the teacher's fault; they are trying SO hard.

Schools over. The kids are done. Just ride it out.

And what's your point? Why are you so defensive?

Nobody is even trying to teach. It's movies and packing up the classrooms. Why can't the kids just enjoy the movies and not throw crap around the room and ask to go to the bathroom and come back 20 minutes later.

Not defensive. Just pointing out a tried and true phenomenon that happens around this time of year EVERY YEAR. Pre-pandemic, 1980s 1950s, it just is what happens at the end of the school year.

The sarcasm was used to point out how ridiculous these school worker posters are.

Hey, no sh!t, kids want to be out of school on June 15! That's why movies and class parties were created.

If there are no consequences at home or school, or better both, it’s not surprising
