“Gas may be expensive but freedom is priceless.”

The plea from the Prime Minister of Estonia who is calling on Europe to stick together.

Frankly, Putin + the Saudis are purposely pushing the inflation angle because they know Western democracies are teetering and inflation is one way for authoritarians to rise.

Because history teaches us nothing that happens anywhere else in the world ever impacts America in any way.

The “issue at home” is that the war in Ukraine is driving our high gas prices. And food prices. And certain basic materials for industry.

The war is inflationary and Putin knows that people like you will trade the Constitution for $2 gas.

Putin and the war, plus the world opening back up again, are driving gas prices higher. (Plus, in the US, they usually always go up in the summer.)

It's textbook people.

Just don't drive as much, and push demand down, if you can do it.

Agreed. But the right-wing liars are going to drive this one all the way to the midterms. They don't care about anything but their own power. Consequences be damned.

Personally, I prefer the vaccine-less pandemic to get back there.

We are. The Saudi are refusing to pump more oil to lower prices. The killer prince wants the GOP snd maybe Trump in power again because they can be bought easily. Putin is also playing the same game, he cannot win militarily against the US or even Europe but knows that inflation and high gas prices would wreck havoc in western democracies after 2 years it covid. He can beat up and lock up any protester for years but knows that western democracies can’t do it, they need consensus

Exactly.

We should be focusing on how lucky we are to only be paying $4-$5 for gas.

This country is a bunch of spoiled children.

+1. Push demand down is the key.

Please. Run on this slogan.
Convince the voters that we should be lucky. Go for it.

+1. You absolutely nailed it.

Can you imagine the fuss Republicans would raise if they were asked to ration and grow victory gardens like during World War 2?

The D's on this thread need to keep up. Biden's message has shifted. "Putin's Price Hike" failed to resonate, so this week he shifted the blame to oil companies. Biden, and the Ds in Congress, are blaming the gas price increases on oil companies, who he is accusing of price gauging. This is the currently approved belief regarding gas prices.

Ask the Ukrainians about the price of freedom.

We're paying more for gas because of Russia but they are also losing their lives.

There sure area lot of whining snowflake Republicans lately.
