| Hi DCUM! We're looking for a swimming instructor who has experience teaching toddlers (2.5-3 year olds) and can come to our apartment building's pool to teach our kid and his friend some basic swimming safety stuff. Does anyone have recommendations/contact info? Thanks |
Did your resident manager agree to swim lessons in the apartment's pool? There's a liability issue and I cannot believe this would be allowed. When I lived in a building with a pool toddlers were only allowed in the baby pool. To answer your question, look up your local recreation center and call them and ask your question. The entitled parents in this area never ceases to amaze me! |
Not sure why you're spending your one wild and precious life trying to start a fight on a parenting forum about baby swim safety, but OK--I hope you find whatever peace you need out there, friendo! We're looking into private lessons because we have a medically vulnerable kid and our pool is rarely used in the mornings, so he'd likely have the place to himself. Plenty of pools allow this. Our co-op rules allow it if we sign a waiver. Aaanyway in case anyone else finds this thread while looking for actual recommendations, I've found a couple leads, though we haven't heard back from either so I can't vouch for quality yet: AquaMobile https://aquamobileswim.com/ and Sunsational Swimming School https://www.sunsationalswimschool.com/contact |
| James and Lajuan who have weekends classes at the EDCJCC are amazing teachers for this age. I know there are private class options with them at the JCC. Maybe you can get there info and see if they go elsewhere on weekdays. I noticed they had a Facebook group once. I think it was just James and LaJuan swimming or something like that. |
