Please recommend a hiking shoe that is light weight but good

Need a light weight hiking shoe for trails, mud etc. What do you think of the On Cloudventure hiking shoe? Trying to look at other brands to compare. What hiking shoes or mid boots you have hiked in that are good.

Some are too heavy for a day hike.

There is a new keen nxis evo mid hiking boots - says waterproof but light. I have not tried it yet but it looks perfect for hiking and using it around town.

I love my Merrill’s, they are solid but so comfortable I wear them a lot in the fall and winter when not hiking. And I’ve had them for 15 years.

I have the Vasque lightweight hiking shoes. Is fantastic. Feels like a sneaker but goretex and has great traction.

Merrell and Vasque and both good brands. Do you want a “trail shoe” or a true hiking boot with ankle coverage
