$16 per ticket to see movies I have already seen before 30 years ago?
No Thank You. I will pass. It no songer seems worth it to me. Am I just getting old? |
| They all look awful except Top Gun - go see it! It was great. |
Yes it was great. I already saw it. 30 years ago. |
I do admit, the co$t of a movie 🍿 admission ticket is very pricey these days (in 1977 I used to pay a buck for a double-feature!), but I have heard great things about Top Gun. I am not going to be watching it because I cannot stand the star (Tom Cruise) > but I can see why others would pay big bucks to see it. |
| 32 dollars for 2 tickets not including food or drinks. How do teens afford it? |

$16 isn’t bad for a unique treat: first time back to the theatre in 2 years for Top Gun 2, and totally worth it!
I average 1-2 movies in the theatre each year, that’s not cost prohibitive. Rest of the movies are seen from my couch when they make it to Prime / Netflix. PS - Elvis looks awesome. |
| New Top Gun was worth the money |
| paid $8.50 a ticket at matinee. Maverick worth it. |
The only remake here is Firestarter. |
| I go to matinees |

Sequels and prequels are nothing new to the industry. It's been happening for decades.
Is that your complaint? Or is it the price of a movie ticket? The biggest challenge for Hollywood is that movies can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your home and on your time instead of the revenue generating movie theater...so unless you're super impatient or are keeping up with Joneses, just wait until it's streaming. Having said that, some movies are better watched in the theater - Top Gun for sure. The others you listed will still be fine watching it on your TV at home (which I'm guessing is relatively a big screen). |
| Yes you are a suburban old hag, devoid of joy OP |
| Light year is for kids! |
I’m curious about OP’s claim that she already saw the Elvis and Buzz Lightyear movies 30 years ago 🤔 |
They are reselling you the same movies all over again. |
