Sport snacks confusion

FTP here! After our game the kids have snack, and parents can sign up to bring snack.
I signed up but now I’m second guessing what to bring for snack.
A mom brought a small gift bag for each kid with snacks (veggie chips, gummies, cookies, candy ) and toys like
Fidget toys, bubbles etc. What do you usually bring for sport if you sign Up for snack share? TIA!

Omg that is way too much. We do chips and if they’re lucky a small Gatorade.

Or team was oranges with the occasional parent bringing donut holes.

Whoa, definitely don't let that become the norm. :O Chips, Little Bites, clementines, bananas. Pick one of those things.

Is this in Loudoun county? So extreme. No, bring a bag of single serve snack and a juice box for each kid and sibling.

That is so over the top. It’s ridiculous.

What everybody has always brought, including me, are a bag of chips and Gatorade.

It's not a party; she shouldn't have done that. I bring mandarin oranges for each kid. Maybe I also bring goldfish snackpacks or something but more likely than not, its just oranges.

From all parents everywhere, please don’t follow the other mom on this. That is ridiculous.

And siblings? No.

You bring enough for the team. If there are extras than siblings to have some but the parents can provide snacks for their own non playing children. Some families are large and that is a lot of extra snacks and drinks to account for.

Skipping the snacks was the best thing about covid. Why do we have to start up the snacks again for activities that are two hours or shorter?!

Pre-pandemic: big bowls/trays of mixed fruit

Now: individual bags of cut fruit

Those are the most popular now. Also little bags of chips or mini muffins.

back in the cave man days it was just a drink. no snack needed.

Yeah I don't bring enough for siblings. I bring about five extra oranges, just in case one is moldy, someone drops theirs on the ground, they lose it in the five seconds since I gave it to them, etc. I couldn't care less if other parents think I'm mean when I stop siblings from taking by saying "Sorry these are just for the kids who were playing soccer on the team." Those parents should have brought snacks for their kids who are watching. That's what I do.

Examples of what I typically see:

1) clementine, granola bar and a drink usu gatorade/juice box/capri sun/water

2) popsicle on a hot day

3) donuts early morning game

4) small apple, goldfish, drink (like above)

5) chips and drink

6) some combination of all of the above. Pretty much anything goes.

In my circle people bring extra for the siblings. But we all know each other and know about how many siblings there are. It doesn't cost much extra and the siblings live for it.
