Who has right of way?

Anonymous
A) car making u turn at a green light

B) car making right turn on red

I'm beginning to question whether I know how to drive because every time I do A, B almost hits me or gives me the finger.

Is this an intersections that permits U turns? If not, neither of them are in the right and they are both deserve the finger.

^^I should add it also depends on whether right turns on red are allowed.

If u turns allowed and the car turning right doesn’t have an arrow, u turn has right of way.
Anonymous
I think A but the same thing happens to me! The car turning right on red just assumes the other car is making a left.

How would the person doing a U-turn know if the turning right has an arrow?
This is my daily situation:

I have a green light to go straight take a left or make a u-turn and if I would go left I'd be going into a school The people are coming out of the school and they just pause and take a right even though there are people u-turning (like myself). The light facing the school is red.

A in this case. Car with red must yield to all vehicles.

Yes, this. B is the idiot who can't drive in your case, OP, and their out-of-control anger doesn't change that they're the wrong and dangerous driver.

Green light U turn has the right of way.

A.

Cars with red lights must ALWAYS yield.

But that doesn't mean they do, hence the reactions you've received...

I had EXACTLY the same situation a few weeks ago. I was making a u-turn on a green arrow and almost plowed into someone making a right turn on red. U-turns are allowed at this intersection, as are right turns on red. However, I had the right-of-way as I was u-turning on a green arrow. Still the right turn on red guy flipped me off.

The worst part is that if I come from the opposite direction I have to go into a turn lane that starts directly 50 feet in front of the school and people will still making R turns in front of me but the right lane is for straight or right turn.

Next year I can drop off at the rear entrance so Im hoping I can make it a few months without an accident.

Person with the green light. But more importantly, you have to realize this is a dangerous situation and you have to act as though the other car is going to be stupid so you can avoid an accident.
