DD is graduating from an R1 this month. What do you think of a Van Cleef Alhambra necklace as a graduation present? I see this on her peers and 20-something young professionals a lot these days.

| Cash. I Bonds. |
| I love the I bond idea, but that Al Hambra piece is timeless. Classy and fun. |
| I would love the alhambra piece. classic timeless beautiful. what is R1? |
| I got a bracelet from this jeweler when I turned 50. I loved it. In my humble opinion, there are many other items that I could choose for someone this age. |
| I bought one for my daughter for high school graduation. Several of her friends also received this necklace. It was a big hit. |
| I think this is a piece that can easily be worn for decades. Great idea |
| I really dislike it. |
| Is this post for real? |

Why give her something lots of other people have? Are you or she that desperate to fit in? That VC&A collection is nice, but completely overplayed. There are good fakes online that cost very little. So… no. |
| Well, I guess as long as she's graduating from an R1 she must deserve it. Thanks for clarifying, as it would not be fitting for someone graduating from a lesser school. Right? |
| I love it. I think it’s a great idea. My father actually gave me one for my graduation and I still treasure it. Truly timeless jewelry and not showy - it’s very if you know you know but otherwise people just think it’s a nice necklace. |
No… it’s so popular you can buy a fake for peanuts. So it’s not a status symbol of anything anymore. |
|
is this a joke?

| It’s very young |
