My waitlist number is in the 50s. Do I have any chance of getting into ATS this year? |
No!! We were number six several years ago and got in two years later. |
Magic 8 ball says it’s highly doubtful. |
^ that would pretty much mean every single family who got and turned it down. Highly unlikely. |
ROFL — #66 here. |
If it helps, by the time your kid graduates, you will look back and wonder why you cared about getting into ATS (if they do get in, you will be rabidly loyal, but otherwise? Nah) |
It's a new lottery every year now. Your number doesn't carry over year-to-year anymore. |
The principal is retiring at the end of this year, coupled with the proposed start time change (and teacher/family dissatisfaction with that change) you have a better shot than before. |
Love this! Puts in perspective. |
Not true, there have been families leaving ATS, back to neighborhood schools and to private schools. |
+1 |
Really!? When my kids were little, parents would all but shank each other to get their kids in |
Not enough for someone in the 50s on the waitlist. That’s pretty much the end of the list! In previous years you might make it if you were one or two. I would say anything greater than 10 no way. |
That’s true, but the point is that number six still did not make it. Theoretically the next year they were likely three or four, still didn’t make it. There’s not much moving on this list. |
Why is this? |
