| Last name starts with A, middle name will start with R to honor a dead grandparent. The first name we both love starts with a B. Maybe I'm giving away my southern-ness here, but how much would the initials of BRA bother you? |
|
Boy or girl? Girls have monogram so A would be in the middle.
I wouldn’t think bra is a problem. |
|
I would add a second mn or surname.
|
| I've never noticed anyone's initials. Unless you're buying a bunch of those tacky outfits with ostentatious monograms, I don't think anyone will care. |
| Yes |
| It would stop me, but I had weird initials growing up and didn’t like it. Not like BRA, but it spelled a word, not a bad word, but a word and everyone commented on it because my school email address in high school and college always had all three initials. I’m not sure how schools are doing emails now, but it’s something to consider. |
| We thought about that with our children, but have nothing monogrammed/it has never been an issue. Don't worry about it and go with the name you love. |
| It is better than my maiden name initials WTF. |
|
On the monogram it would be bAr
Which I kind of love for a southern baby heading to an SEC school |
My kids have ‘tacky ostentatious’ stuff - like their backpacks, soccer jackets, and ll bean duffels, with their initials.
Yes, op, I would avoid a name combination that results in BAR or BRA on their rolling duffle at college. |
| It would be a turnoff for me. We use initials all the time in my workplace, and I always wish I had better ones. She could use "BA" but BRA is terrible. |
I love those initials!! |
Just bc you pay an extra $10 to get their ll bean backpack monogrammed doesn’t make it not tacky. Lol at your college kid with his monogrammed rolling duffle bag. |
|
Make the last name a compound of both of your last names. So for example, Adams-Thomas.
BRAT |
| Completely fine |
