| I grew up in Arizona and lived in California for a time. I just have not found the kind of Mexican food that is available there. Does anyone have any suggestions? NVa preferred but willing to drive. |
| It doesn't exist. |
2nd this. As someone who lived in California. Thai and Mexican are just not as good on the East Coast. |

While its true that you won't find it as good or cheap as you have in AZ or CA... Taco Bamba is pretty darn tasty!
|
| Muchas Gracias is great. |

Taco Bamba - hands down the best.
If you want TexMex - Chuy's or El Tio |
| La Union in Arlington |

Every week there is a thread ranting how Mexican food and pizza suck in the DC area. |
Another California transplant - thirding this. |
Former Texan agrees with this list. There's nothing else. |
don’t forget bagels! |

Arizonan here.
The retried beans, fresh tortillas and salsa at uncle Julio’s are good. I’m still looking for most things. There is a food shack in downtown bethesda that does okay burritos. I think it mostly caters to construction workers. I’m not sure it has a name. Oyamel is nice for fancy food. |
| Guajillo in Rosslyn is quite good. |
