Do you clean your counters after every meal?
What do you use to clean them? |
|
Quick wipe after use.
Dish soap clean a few times a week. |
|
Not after every meal. Only if they are dirty or something spilled. We eat dinner at our counter (seats 5) so it does tend to get dirty frequently.
409 or whatever multipurpose spray is under the sink. |
| Dish soap usually |
| I make a solution using water/vinegar/alcohol. Lots of wiping no real schedule. |
| Wipe if something is on them during day. Spray with Simply Green or something and full wipe-down after dinner every night. |
| Dr Bronners and a washcloth. Not after every meal bc not every meal creates crumbs or raw foods. |
| Lysol spray every night after dinner |
| I have a sink of soapy water and I wash my counters with that. I only do it after dinner dishes. If I spill something I might wipe them down with a damp cloth or brush crumbs from lunch off, but I'm a bit busy. |
This is what I do too. |
| Vinegar and water |
|
For those using Lysol or 409 - those are chemicals that get into your food. I used to do what you do and once that was point out to me, I switched to using dish soap and water.
I fill one of my mixing bowls with warm/hot water and dish soap - dump in a dish towel, wring it out and clean my counters nightly. |
This is what we do - 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, once a day after finishing the dinner dishes (and as needed during the day when we are cooking a lot). |
Are you under the impression there are no chemicals in dish soap? |
