ACT scores

what time of day are they released?

Um, does it matter? Will your kid only get into college if you get their ACT score at 8am rather than 5pm?
Anonymous
well I would like to know when to check . and not waste time checking at 8am if they aren't released to 5pm. but ofc I want the info as soon as it's available. wouldn't you?

It’s spread out. As early as 7 am and as late as 6 pm, over the course of a week or two. There is no obvious rhyme or reason for which scores are released when—if you look at the ACT subreddit you will see that state, score, last initial, etc. don’t matter.

They are usually released during business hours. Last time my kids got their scores mid-morning. The student will get an email when their score is posted.

Patience. Take a deep breath. Your kid's score will be whatever it is. Getting it in the morning won't make any difference. Don't obsessively check.

I heard the test from 2 Saturdays ago is released in the early AM tomorrow between 3-4 depending on how fast they run the batch.

Oh so OP should totally set an alarm clock for 3am!!!

Are you always this patronizing?

op here - find it hard to believe that the scores will be released between 3-4 am. can someone confirm this? and no, I would not set my alarm, but I am sure some people would if this were true

The April 2nd scores? That would be super fast! Do you know of tests with accommodations take longer or are batches separately.

I am surprised a poster hasn’t mentioned that it is the student’s job to check their scores, not mom’s.

My daughter got her April 2 test scores on April 5. Her test was computerized (not sure if all of them are) and didn't include writing. Maybe that is why the results came so quickly.

to the poster who got the results April 5, your daughter must have taken the test privately or with accommodations . .they aren't ever posted in 3 days.

Data point of two kids, same test, same date: one DC took ACT w/accommodation, one w/out. The latter's test was released a few weeks before the former's. This was for the April '21 test.
