When the deceased man was struggling with federal agents, one of the agents saw his gun and yelled “gun”. I believe one of the agents removed the deceased man’s gun during the struggle, but not all of the agents knew that. When the agents are searching the man’s body after he passed, one of them is heard asking “where’s the gun?”

These are trying to do a dangerous job and have protestors/rioters constantly in their faces. They were faced with a man resisting arrest who possessed a gun. I believe that was their mindset.

It’s not a dangerous job.

A bubble thread of comments by posters who frequently disparage the intelligence of any type of LEO and basically don't believe in law enforcement and would never encourage their kids to become a policeperson or any other type of LEO.

The newly hired ICE agents are not trained LEO, particularly local police forces. YOU are the one trying to tie them together. Most of us understand the difference. Just stop.

I've been on DCUM for over 10 years. The disparagement of LEOs before the current ICE agents' actions is not a new thing here. .

to be fair, there have been a rash of actual trained LEO who acted badly - shooting people in the back, shooting innocent civilians in their apartments, kneeing someone to death in the street - to receive some of the criticism. Maybe of the police unions did a better job of rooting out the bad apples, your grievance wouldn't be necessary.

That's not what PP is saying. What has happened has made this situation something much more than a protest about immigration. This is about an out of control paramilitary force that is routinely, casually, and intentionally violating the Constitution, executing peaceful citizens, and pissing on 250 years of American history and belief.

ICE most certainly apprehended and deported millions of people under Biden. And they did it without acting like a gestapo. It was a mere couple of years ago that this was happening. I am old enough to remember it and live through it. What has changed is the composition and mission under Trump/Vance/Noem and Bovino. And...speaking of Bovino, isn't it curious that these things are only happening when he is around? He is like Andy Ngo from the first Trump term...always happens to be where riots and murder happen.

Nope, not at all. People have no problem with legal deportations. Obama and Biden deported millions of people without these issues on our streets. ICE tactics changed. They became more brutal and started overreaching their authority, and have not been held accountable for improper actions. They are acting like they have complete immunity and authority to do whatever they feel like doing. Try going back farther…this wasn’t an issue under Trump’s first term. And, MAGA was happy about immigration then. So, it’s repugnant to say that he has to authorize this now. Detaining and murdering Americans sing the way. Maybe the should go to the Texas border?!?!
