+1 Any time she wants to put her commitments to Americans first I’m going to support that choice. |

Well said, PP. |
VP Kamala Harris Had 92-Percent Staff Turnover During Her First Three Years ![]() Chaos reigns on the vice president’s staff. And Harris tried to hide it by claiming that her office is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Adam Andrzejewski Jul 22, 2024 Under Kamala Harris, the Office of the Vice President has been called a “revolving door,” a “staff exodus” of key aides “heading for the exits.” That’s not hyperbole from the national media. Our auditors at OpenTheBooks quantified an extraordinarily high 91.5-percent staff turnover rate. We used U.S. Senate disclosures to conduct our investigation and those databases can be downloaded below. https://openthebooks.substack.com/p/vp-kamala-harris-had-92-percent-staff |
They did a terrible job hiding it though https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/poll-americans-on-biden-age/story?id=107126589 "According to the poll, conducted using Ipsos' Knowledge Panel, 86% of Americans think Biden, 81, is too old to serve another term as president. That figure includes 59% of Americans who think both he and former President Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, are too old and 27% who think only Biden is too old." |
93% of Trump's cabinet members are not supporting him or endorsing his 2024 candidacy. 100% of Trump's former vice presidents are not supporting his candidacy. |
As long as the people concerned about this were equally concerned by Flynn’s 22 day tenure and subsequent confession to working with Russia… |
PP, why do you think this is a story? Do you think the turnover is suggestive of an issue with her leadership style? Do you think the turnover implies there will be dysfunction in government if she’s elected? If so, can you please contrast these concerns with your preferred candidate, his leadership style, and the functionality of his White House? |
Some of the stuff about Harris's staff is troubling. Unfortunately, IME this is common among female leaders who don't get the same respect as male leaders. From what I have read, things have gotten a lot better in the last two years with a new chief of staff. Trump's record with his staff on the other hand never got better. How many lawyers has he gone through? How many people who have worked with him are in prison or have spoken publicly against him? https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/03/politics/donald-trump-former-allies-what-matters/index.html |
The Republicans are big scared and I am finding their panic after their months of confidence to be delightful. Harris has turned out to be ridiculously popular and appears to gather more popularity as she goes, kind of like Obama. She’s intelligent and articulate and she could not be stronger contrast to Trump if she tried. |
This comment should be the standard bearer for any of these discussions. |
How many of Trumps staff picks and associates resigned in disgrace or went to jail? ![]() |
Who cares? Look at the alternative! You're not going to win over anyone who was already going to support Biden, PP. Harris also energizes a ton of folks, including young people. Keep grasping for straws. |
Harris had a horrible Chief of Staff - Tina Flournoy - for a couple of years. The VP Office was completely dysfunctional. Everyone left. And that is 100 percent on Kamala Harris for entrusting everything to someone so deeply incompetent and divisive as Flournoy. But eventually Harris did get a new Chief of Staff and things have gone much more smoothly since. Her choice of senior advisors though is definitely something to look for going forward. Her instincts are not always the best. |
