I'm glad I'm not the only one who automatically thought of this. |
| I know a moxie. She's adorable. It's a great name. |
|
Have you made a decision OP? I’m idly invested in this name outcome! |
|
Probably not a good idea.
|
Lol |
|
Guys, is no one going to talk about the movie?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moxie_(film) The name is cute, but it seems like could be made fun of. Also, biases are real, who do you think has a better chance to get an interview at a bank, Rose or Moxie? |
Moxie. |
OP here. I like the name Mary, specifically like the name Mary Roxanne that someone in this thread suggested. DH likes Molly June. No other contenders. We have just under 8 weeks to go, so we need to agree on something soon! |
Haha. I love you! |
To go from Moxie to Mary is odd. Molly is overused. Why June? Does he want to call her MJ? A more sophisticated compromise that can be spelled a few ways: Margeux, Margot, Margaux I think the only nickname that works is Gigi |
Love Molly June, also Mary June. Honestly you can call her Moxie as a nickname no matter what her actual name is. But it might not fit her personality. |
OP here. Margaux and any variant is out as that is my niece's name. He wants June because that month has a special meaning for him/us. |
| Molly June is ADORABLE. |
I agree. And you could still use Moxie as a nickname for her. |
+1 You can call her Moxie no matter if she is Mary Roxanne or Molly June, both of which are great names. My 4 year old son's name is Ellison and he is alternately known as Elly Belly, Elly Jelly, Jelly Belly..... |
