Exactly. For most parents, DCPS is the set of options and you make choices within that. |
I am not a DCPS parent so my opinion doesn't count, but that article seems so over the top and exaggerated that it makes me more sympathetic to this guy. |

| Email Bowser if you want schools open. She is the decider. She is responsible. |

The problem is not DME's sending children to private school, it is failing to open public schools.

Everyone should email these people. |
Actually yes if the job you are changing to is to oversee public schools where you live. |

I just realized that I worked with this person (and his wife) at McKinsey and I am completely disgusted by the hypocrisy of supposedly dedicating your career to public education while privately choosing private for your own. You either believe in public education or you don’t. You either believe that schools are safe for in-person learning or you don’t.
As a DCPS parent whose kids were denied an education for a year, as a voter, and as a someone who knows these people a bit, I think they should be ashamed. Truly. |
Oh go away Marylander. My non ward 3 DCPS has the among the highest test scores for black kids in the region (DC and MD) and probably the highest test scores for white kids in the region (95% at or shove standard). |
To whomever keeps copying-and-pasting this list: Grosso no longer is on the Council (thank god). You can take him off. |
Yes. It is pretty obvious to almost anyone here with half a brain. |
LOL! You know very little about private schools if you think there is ANYONE on a Board who doesn't pay tuition. The primary reason you get on the Board is because you are paying tuition and then some. $$$$$$$ |
The fact that an elected DC official sends his kids to one of the most expensive private schools in the area and not DCPS is shameful enough. I don't care if he pays tuition or not. |
Nope. They’re are always FA families on the board, too. Maybe just one or two of 20, but the boards are smart enough to realize that FA families should have some representation. |
