Men, do you care about a woman’s salary or salary potential?

Anonymous wrote:New poster - I haven't read the entire thread, but the answer is no. Men don't care about a woman's salary, job title or, my favorite absurdity, her "professional accomplishments."

We as men do not view women as providers the way women view us. It's simply not part of the attraction or calculation for us.

A woman who's crazy irresponsible in how she handles money is a huge red flag, but what she does for a living or how much she makes doesn't matter one wit.

+ A million

Looks, looks, and looks barring any big red flags.

Once you pass a threshold of things like personality, etc. It is all about looks.

+1 sexy a** women don’t need an income

BS. if this were true, you'd all be married to hot girls who work at the mall. Or the girl who washes your hair. Or any other number of hot dull women.

Men with decent financial potential and an ounce of common sense want a woman with either an impressive resume or earning potential. There are literally millions of women in this country who are generically "hot", and men don't want. Because they do in fact care about a women's aspirations/career/financials. They may try and act cool on this thread like they just care about boobs, but it's bullshit. And those that legitimately only married for boobs, in my experience, are pretty damn unfulfilled by their 30s.....

+1. DCUM guys are apparently the rare outliers not participating in assortative dating/mating. It's a thing, and it is more common now than ever. I look at couples all around me and even the young guys in my office and no, they're not marrying for just hot by ANY means. The young guys in particular are repulsed by young women who don't seem to have any drive or ambition and are looking for men to take care of them, and these are guys who are earning good money and in a field where you can earn the big bucks. They're not looking for Hooters waitresses. Now maybe they will end up with a woman who wants to stay at home for a bit when kids are young, that is reasonable, but it's a red flag that would be her expectation from the get-go. There are many attractive (hot) women who also are passionate and driven, why would you settle for the GED hottie who works at the mall kiosk unless you thought that was the best you could do?

+100

My 26-year old nephew just married a doctor. She’s 5’10” and absolutely stunning. She could model.
The other one is dating a girl fresh out of law school that looks like a young Elisabeth Shue.

My sister is a smart cookie that always has her foot in the workforce, even though she went part-time when they were small. They had female role models that weren’t just bimbos or homemakers.

You sounds horrible, divorce is in your future

Well I will have a career and retirement to support myself.

Who cares? Seriously! Men with high stressful jobs generally want a to marry (or be with) an upbeat easy mannered woman. If he is married to a high stressed woman chances are he will cheat to get t a break. The relationship will end once the children are older and he will be financially stable to support a younger fun woman. Seen this scenario time and time again. You lovely hard overworked stressed out women will be discarded once your expiration date is up.

Ummm. That’s how good parents raise their children. My parents taught we should all be able to support ourselves, females and males.

As if because you earn less you are somehow incapable of supporting yourself? This thread is ridiculous.

Really? I see more men dumping the SAHMs when kids are older. Often for some hot little exec at the Office, who they had been banging on business trips. At least the working wife can support herself when that happens.

If you earn nothing and “the man is the plan” guy won’t be able to support yourself in this expensive DMV.

Trust fund kids with hobby jobs. That’s how you live in DC with low income.

Whenever women are held accountable for their actions, cheating or gold digging, somebody predictability throws down the misogynistic card. Such a big word.

If only it worked that way. It’s not 1950. Lifestyle always takes a hit and women aren’t awarded big settlements. They usually have to get a job.

Household labor in conjunction with demanding jobs. This is the unfair misogyny the US places women. How much maternity leave is offered for women in the US, a month? It’s a joke.

The women hire other less educated women to raise their children. What a pathetic life to live.

^ This! And shame them for not earning more. The hypocrisy is nauseating.
