Hi cousin! Bloody Mary’s with relish trays are the best way to start the day. Gets everyone in a great mood for the final cook. |
| I have’t read all 8 pages of this thread, but color me fascinated as my food-obsessed family has never had a relish tray at thanksgiving or any other holiday. Is the tray out as an appetizer? Assuming so, how does cottage cheese get eaten- do people take some as a “base” and top with the pickled items? I could see a relish tray being a really tasty app with smoked salmon and rye slices - add a martini and yum I may have add this tradition. |

Do you need an introduction to Google? |
Maybe read the thread. It even has pictures for the unimaginative. |

https://www.tasteofhome.com/article/what-is-a-relish-tray/ https://www.simplywhisked.com/relish-tray/ https://theviewfromgreatisland.com/how-to-make-a-modern-relish-tray/ They are pretty retro. For some families, it's a tradition still carried on. This forum is about food, cooking, and restaurants. Sometimes you will run across terms or items not familiar to you. Making an acquaintance would be helpful. You can also not post, as that is okay, too. |
