When I was in my twenties, starting my career in DC, I joined a kickball league. I don't know if it's still a thing young professional newcomers do, but it was very popular when I was involved around 2008-2009. As I got to know people through the league, I was really surprised at how many men and women were conservative Republicans. I very much come from a liberal bubble and expected the same among my peers.

Join non-political groups geared toward your interests that attract people your age. You might be surprised. Just get to know people and friends of friends. Like regular dating strategies.

The US only has a handful of people who are extreme leftists. Europe has way more, hence they have socialist policies.

Despite what the extreme right believe, most liberals in the US are not for 100% socialist policies. They don't want extreme high taxes, but they do want liberal social policies. In Europe, most people are fine with very high taxes because they get free healthcare and in some cases, free college. Liberals believe in capitalism; many Europeans aren't as keen on it. Liberals here believe in a market economy that is regulated to protect the public. They don't want government to own and run everything, but again, want oversight to protect the public. In Europe, much of the utilities are run by government owned organizations.

Many European countries also adopted same sex marriage earlier than we did and have much more strict gun control. Europe is more of a nanny state than we ever were, and they believe in a strong central national government, whereas, believe it or not, liberals do believe in some state's rights.

So off topic, but there you go. Of course, you can find a "conservative" European woman, just as you can find an extremely right or left American woman, but the majority of European women are quite liberal. I'll stop here because this post is getting way too political for a relationship forum.

No, it doesn't. I am a conservative woman who responded at 15:53. I am a super conservative Christian who does not belong to any "church" and I am proud of it. Most churches today have nothing to do with Christianity and we are better off with out them.
