DW 38: $358k |
| 45 yo 20 year fed/fers. 625k in TSP/401K. DH has less than I do. |
Is this a troll? |
yep |
Could be true. |
That is 14 years in. Did the max 100 percent equites in a place with a 8 percent match would be at 900k |
|
43, with $415K in my TSP and another $155K in a Roth ($570k total).
I should also have a pension of at least $65k a year. I feel pretty good about things. I won't be retiring early, but based on all the retirement calculators I'm in good shape. |
| 970K - 20 year fed. Age 47 |

| 49 and 54 -- combined $1.4mil, 500K in equity. We are striving to retire early. No pension or anything. We are not feds. |

DH 53: $950k
DW 47: $925k |
| 36 - 170k |
combined home equity and retirement accounts? |
| 40 fed: just hit $200k in 401k. feel very behind, thankfully DH started maxing out early and is around $650 or more. haven't checked lately. |
|
33/34. About 600K combined. Obviously there's a huge response bias to people willing to answer this question. Ours is a combination of fairly good paying jobs, starting the second we were out of college, and getting to maxing out fairly quickly with a good employer match.
DH just started a new job with no match, but they pay 100% of our health insurance premiums, so it is basically a wash other than the tax advantaged space we can't access. |
