2017 RHOP

Charisse said Eddie (and she) "invested well" in the first episode.
And Chris Samuels was a big player for the Skins. I am sure he was paid well and also invested wisely. Seems like a smart dude.

The problem with potomac is that they started the franchise focusing on "manners". No one wants to watch a bunch of women sit around and try to be polite. If this show is going to go anywhere Karen needs to go. Ashley, Giselle, Monique and maybe even Robyn could make it work if they added two other women with big mouths, but all these dumb bitches care too much about what people will think - which is why the D.C. area sucks

Face it: this area is boring.

Am I the only one that's got a hankering for some Emu right now?

Yep, it's just you. Go take a pregnancy test.

If your restaurant can't make it after being featured on a reality show your restaurant can't make it. Period.

As Robyn said, " how many people have you heard saying, I" craving some Australian food". Ashley's husband won't let her change the menu to make the restaurant work. I think he wants it to fail, because he doesn't want to work on making a baby with Ashley.

The show was filmed almost a year ago. Surely business must have picked up since it's still open.

It was on all last season too though.

What? Giselle insulted her by implying she had no home and Monique simply stated she had four and somehow she's in the wrong? You're crazy,

In that scenario, I thought Monique responded appropriately. But in other scenarios ("I brought a $250 bottle of wine!"), it seems like she stacks the brags on top of one another, in a rapid succession so it becomes a little cringeworthy after a while. Her personality is nice enough and I do like her, but some of her statements do beget eye rolls ("my husband's underpants are like a mattress!" "my assistant brings me champagne to barre!", the sex life thing she said to her MIL).

I agree. I thought Gizelle was grilling her pretty rudely, and in that instance I thought Monique was justified in responding that she has four homes (as opposed to being "homeless" :roll. But in the other scenes, she does tend to brag insufferably. She's more than a little pleased with herself and it's annoying.

What's up with the 4 homes. They have money, but not 4 home money. She seems young and immature.

Well, clearly they do because in the last episode they were buying a $4.5 million home in Potomac. How does an ex-football player have so much money?

You have no clue how much that man is worth. The bottom line rookie football players earn a minimum of 585K a year. Those who are not minimum make millions per year, with contract bonuses. The NFL also has mandatory $50000 cola for their players. And the players' salaries are increased by the number of years in play. For example, in 2017 the minimum amount a player with 10 years of NFL play is required to receive approximately 1 million dollars. If an NFL player retires with 4 years of play, that player is entitled to 100% of his minimum salary. I am just talking about the bottom of the pay scale players. I don't know where this person sits on his team pay scale, but if he was at the bottom and invested his money well, he has a lot of money. Just for some perspective, Aaron Hernandez had a 35 million dollar signing bonus just to sign on the dotted line. I wonder if his estate is entitled to it now that he was not convicted of a crime. I digress.

Yes this! Could there be no way an ex-football player (GASP) save and/or invest wisely? my husband told me that usually offensive lineman are smart so just maybe he is smart w/his earnings.

Hi Monique and Gigi! Good to see you on here.

You're ridiculous. Good for him for managing his money wisely.

Why do these women talk with their mouth full of food? So gross.

I actually like Robyn...but she's in a tough situation not knowing whether to move on or not.

+1 Marshawn Lynch who retired from the Seattle Seahawks last year (but has since unretired to play with the Raiders in the upcoming season) never spent one penny of his $49 million in salary over his 9 years in the NFL. He earned about 5 million a year in endorsements and other business ventures and he lived off that money. Athlete's have a buttload of money.

It's like how Kim Z. says they are "fine" even though Kroy seems to be out of football. She told Kenya they had $20 million or something. We'll see.

I checked out the menu online the other day and it looks appetizing. At least for dinner, they seem to have put emu, kangaroo, and friends on a separate, "exotic" menu.

I just checked out the menu and I agree it't not bad. And I don't even eat most of the meats they offer but I think in general it's a good menu.

Oz has some pretty good reviews on Yelp. The biggest complaint seems to be slow service and lack of knowledge by the servers. "Ashley" has responded herself to a few reviews.

I hope it works for her. I like Ashley.

What school does Charisse's daughter attend? She was quick to drop Sideell's name at her NBa wives party and whoever she was talking to was quick to throw shade. Bravo even did captions for the negative comments about Sidwell. Surprised that hasn't been discussed on here yet.

I'm sick of Ashley butting in to Robyn's love life. What is her obsession with Juan?? I agree that Robyn should *definitely* move on - clearly Juan's not into her. But why does Ashley feel it's her duty to keep bringing it up?

She also did that with Charrisse and Eddie, and it was SO RUDE.

I think Gizelle is hilarious, but I can't stand the way she has to haze all the new women (Ashley and now Monique, and apparently her sorority sister too).

Monique is annoying in that she's constantly talking about herself, but Gizelle really can be rude. You don't walk into someone else's house and start whispering about the host(ess). I was glad Monique told her off.

Did anyone catch that Monique actually said they were looking in Vienna, Mc"Clean," and Potomac? If her hubby is working in Ashburn, assuming he's still doing work with the Redskins, why on earth would they move to Potomac? Just the traffic getting across AML bridge would be enough to scratch Potomac off the list...

It was tweeted that Giselle actually lives in Bethesda, which would make sense, because there's no way anyone living in Potomac would find Vienna to be the "middle of nowhere." Especially, given that she likes to act like she's a big spender on clothing, in which case, aside from Chevy Chase, she'd be going to the Galleria in VIENNA.

I like Robyn, but not sure why she's still on the show. Other than RHNY, they all live in suburbs of the areas the claim to be in, but Hanover... I had to look that up and it was basically Baltimore! Zero interest in watching her new life, living in a Hanover townhouse, driving around in their rented cars (you can always see the "no smoking" stickers on the windows of the cars she and Juan drive both this season and last season).

I like Ashley, but I will be surprised if Oz is open a year or two from now. That particular spot in Clarendon seems to be cursed, as I have yet to see a restaurant survive on that corner.

Karen seems much more relatable this season. Kind of ridiculous with the house hunting. Not sure why she doesn't just stay in her current house and redo the kitchen. But, I guess she's pressed on staying within the Potomac zip-code, which I still could not tell you. Unless it's 90210, no one knows wth are you're talking about. I will add that Black Hitch (or something like that), there restaurant she and her son went for lunch, does have HORRIBLE service - so I'll give her that.

It's reality TV, so fine... Put on appearances, but at least make it interesting enough!
