My list:

Madonna and Lourdes: I was on a secluded beach outside San Diego and was flying a kite with my high school GF. Lourdes came up to me and I showed her how to fly the kite. Hung out with Madonna, Lourdes, and her bodyguards for probably 45 minutes. Madonna was very hands-off and distant. (1997)

Kid Rock & his midget (RIP) - he was humble and really nice (1999)

Guy Ritchie and the cast of Lock Stock - I had drinks with them when I was 17 and they were doing media for the film, just before it blew up (1999)

Selma Hayek - tiny in person.

Pierce Brosnan: multiple times. He's a mensch. I sent a keg of beer to his penthouse hotel room in NYC. I then ran into him multiple times at JFK airport within a two year span and he always remembered me. So weird.

No one super big, but I'm easily impressed.

No. It was a long time ago. We lived there for twelve glorious years! He is a super nice person. Very friendly and outgoing. He makes you kinda forget he is famous.

I'm clearly not hte winner here, but:

- several members of Congress while working on the Hill and also on flights to/from DC
- I grew up 2 doors down from the owner of my hometown's basketball team, and they won the NBA championship a couple years when I was a kid. One of the more famous players once came to our house by mistake. My mom answered the door and didn't recognize him (and apparently didn't register that the near 7' tall person standing in her foyer might play on the sports team her DS was at that time obsessed with). She was having a conversation giving directions to a very confused athlete when I walked into the foyer in time to see him leaving. We still tease her about this.

He's a jerk, by so many accounts. I haven't met him but I went to a film panel thing he was on. He looked like a caveman in person- gigantic head, hunched over...

I have met Sonia Sotomayor, Sandra Boynton, Joshua Bell, Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, Carson Daly, Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall), Topher Grace, Bill Paxton (R.I.P.), various Whose Line is it Anyway people, Mike Myers, Kate Flannery from The Office (which I never watched, I met her before that) and lots of bands/ musicians. I worked in the music industry for a looong time. I was probably the most nervous meeting Scott Thompson, because I had been a fan for so long (and by that time I had generally gotten over my fear/ awe of famous people, since I worked for them, but for some reason, I was very anxious). He was so sweet.

I avoided bumping into Blythe Danner (literally) at the NY Film Festival last year. She's so tall, she would have knocked me right over.

I'm PP. I forgot Richard Kiley! I worked in a cafe one summer and brought him a lemon poppy muffin and coffee every morning.

PP here. Adding more! I forgot Jon Stewart- he's a short man who clearly wears massive shoe lifts/ has a complex. He was shorter than me when I met him (I'm 5'2", had 1" heel on) but I ran into a celebrity in fall 2016 that he had recently been photographed with. The celebrity is taller than I, but in photos from this past year, Jon Stewart is an inch taller than the celebrity. Tiny man, trying to be big.

Addressing the bolded. I've met Jon Stewart as well - several times. He wasn't shorter than you. I'm 4'11", my sister is 5'4", and he's taller than her. There are no lifts that are going to give him that much of a boost. He'd have to be in stilettos. It sounds like you don't like him for whatever reason, and that's fine, but there's no need to blatantly lie. You're not getting points for it. Tiny PP, trying to be big.

He absolutely was shorter than I was. I have no beef with him, or I would not have been backstage at his show. It's okay if you don't agree. People saw it, and said to me when he ran by "Boy, he's so short!" Because he is.

If what you're saying is that he's 5'3 or under, you are incorrect. Add to that, your diagnosis of his supposed complex you wouldn't know about from passing him once, and we're left with the impression that you don't really like the guy.
