Despite being the most built up class in the world behind white men- white women are very insecure.

Also unlike their counterparts in other races white women tend to be very submissive.

And republicans are the racist ones, LOL!

The hypocrisy on the left is astounding, isn't it?

Oh yes, racism against white people is a terrible, terrible problem. Just awful.

Let's just look at the title of this thread, shall we? What would happen if it was, "What is wrong with black women?" My God, the hypocrisy.

I fully agree with you.

This thread is disgusting.

+100
Critical thinking skills seem to be sorely lacking with this group of libs.

Why the racism?

Anyone? Why is this allowed?

They're not going to answer because they're hypocrites. It's just fine with them to smear white women, call them dumb, subservient, etc. But if the same insults were said about a black woman?? SUCH HYPOCRITES.

...but black women, hispanic women, asian women, didn't vote for Trump in overwhelming numbers. He won 53% of the white, female demographic and its a legitimate concern as to why when there was a perfectly viable, sane white woman running for office. No one thinks anyone should vote based on their gender, but really the voting power of the white female demographic was a real slap in the face for one of their own.

Trump was the first and really only one to talk about how immigration is negatively affecting middle class america. You can never get the whole package.

Nailed it. And I would add, illegal immigration.

DP. Yep. It may have been largely smoke and mirrors, but Trump was the only one to acknowledge what these people were seeing about their future looking like crap. In doing so, he made them feel valued, less humiliated about their circumstances, and a part of something bigger that was gonna fight back against the elites, who obviously looked down on them.

Meanwhile, Hillary was Hoovering up money for the Clinton personal stash from Goldman and the like, talking about how America was already great, doing fundraisers with Clooney, and calling Americans who aren't doing well "deplorable."

Well then Trump voters must be horribly disappointed. Trump's entire proposed cabinet and advisors consists of the top 1% (or top 1% of the 1%). It's great that you feel validated by Trump's feigned compassion, but he is going to completely screw you over. Starting with his Goldman Sachs appointees (see Manuchen - the king of foreclosures - at Treasury). Knowing what we do now, how can you not feel outraged at being so easily duped by a con man?

Really. How? Trump is systematically going back on every committment he made to middle America. Most of us knew that he would do so, but the speed at which he is doing it is truly breathtaking. Then he comes up with a reckless publicity stunt like the Carrier deal and you're lulled back into complacency. Maybe when the ACA goes away (along wih its subsidies for your health care), Medicaid evaporates, Medicare is restructured to throw away the elderly, your access to birth control and abortion is severely restricted (thanks Pence), people are routinely discriminated against for their color, ethnicity, religion, sex - and anythng else that 'good Christians' choose to hate - maybe then you'll wake up.

American white women voted for trump for the same reason minority women who have been here for decades did which is that they want economic opportunities for their themselves or their kids. In other words, they are American first.

THIS. White women defended Bill Clinton in droves for his womanizing, and helped re-elect him. I was one of those women, in fact! I was disgusted by his behavior, but felt that he was a good president. I was able to separate the two. I feel similarly about Trump. His bad behavior (11 years ago, BTW), shouldn't preclude him from being president, any more than Bill Clinton's did.

Never have heard anyone explain why one is not like the other.

I think a lot of DCUM posters are too young to really know what Bill Clinton's behavior was like, and some mistakenly think it occurred AFTER he was elected. He may have been considered charming with great speaking skills, but his behavior was appalling.

Hillary did a lot of damage with the emails, all men talk like that (the Access Hollywood tape). It blew my mind to hear my conservative Catholic mother who could not talk about sex to her kids, ever, blithely dismissing as a non issue a man bragging about sexually assaulting women. Bottom line, she believes that men get to do what they want and women have to tolerate it, and that racism is not as bad as it used to be so we should focus on that. I am so mad at her.

You should appreciate your mom more. I bet she has a lot of good qualities that you're not appreciating right now. She won't be around forever.

+1 Politics should never be considered important enough to divide families and loved ones.

If a conservative woman, two words--Supreme Court.

Yup. No contest

Exactly. Politics doesn't even divide politicians! Check out all the pics of George W Bush hugging Hillary and Michelle, or look at the Clintons' huge smiles in the pics at Trump's last wedding.

???? At the time of this wedding there would have been no reason for politics to be a division. Trump was a Democrat until recently.

point is, ding bat, politics' lines are blurry - and are based mostly on money and prestige, not on the left and the right

Dear op,

What rapper is being referred to? Seriously, because if it's Jay Z, I'd like to know what lyrics are being referred to. I'm familiar with his music back to the 1990s but must have missed this--please educate me.

Happy to. First of all, you mean "rappers" - plural. Here ya go -

So I just read the link provided by PP. Everyone else on this thread needs to do the same. There is a lot to discuss, regardless of your vote.

It doesn't matter if he's a D or an R in the end. I'll bet you Bill and Donald have not yet played their last round of golf together (at an elite country club that wouldn't let you through their front doors.)

All politicians ultimately speak the same language: $$ and power.
