this is the only place to admit it

Listen, I hate Trump. Mostly b/c he scares me and I think he is incredibly thin skinned. He literally ruins people who disagree with him. I have NO idea what the hell he stands for and definitely don't believe he is a good businessman.

I am not crazy about Hillary either. She's not going to set the world on fire, but she won't burn it down either.

So OP, why do you like Trump? How can you believe what he says since he was literally pro-choice and a democrat yesterday?

Sorry, PP. What does it mean to "reach back" in the context above? I personally don't know any "pro choice Agnostic feminists" so maybe I'm out of the loop.

One more time people, it's the INTERNET and every single person on this forum is 100% anonymous. For all we know about the PP, he or she is actually a conservative pretending to be a liberal in order to make liberals look bad.

Liberals do that all by themselves. See many of the tolerant posts above for reference.

Oh lord. Okay, if that's your data, enjoy life.

I'm voting for Trump.
I'm not telling anyone.

I am 35 and immigrant
My husband and I both voted for Obama and just like you are going to vote for Trump.
We are not telling anyone as well for many reasons and avoid conflict.

The number one big reason is refugees. I am from Europe and I don't want that mess to happen here and economy go down. I do support legal immigration with professional degrees etc.

Like I said, you don't know who ANY of these people really are. My personal opinion is that this thread is mostly sock puppets talking to each other, so I'm done with this one.

Europe has a big problem with refugees, and we have a big problem with illegal immigrants. They are two totally different problems, you don't need to have any fears that we will have that mess here. Seriously.

NP, I will talk to a couple close friends about politics, but that's is absolutely it. I don't talk to anybody else about politics or religion. It's not any of their business.

And when I say a couple I mean it, two people.

Not the OP but fairly common in DC. I am friends with many from all walks if life, mostly liberal. Conversations here often start with impassioned generalization and the blanket expectation of agreement. I'm too old to argue and its not a litmus test for me in friendships. I do listen, but I only share my views and speak frankly with my husband. It just feels sort of pointless if you trend towards conservative in DC. You get painted with one tedious and extreme paint brush. I'd like to hear more about OPs thinking though. I haven't made up my mind.

Maybe if you didn't meekly stand on the sidelines with your tail between your legs while tedious and extreme people put themselves forward as representative of conservatism as a whole...

Maybe. I just find the weight of liberalism overwhelming in DC. I am from here, it's not surprising to me. It's just reality. I prefer to enjoy my friends and not get into it all. There are obviously plenty of people who agree with me. probably plenty of people who disagree with me but I could speak to in a moderated way--just not in DC. Or at least I haven't found them.

DC liberals, how many conservative friends do you have whose views you engage with? Hpw many conservative friends do you have who you love knowing their views? Here in DC?

Yup, I agree, let's not ban Muslims because it's dangerous and ineffective.

I have posted previously about my DIL who is Hispanic and is voting for Trump - not just her but several of her Hispanic friends.

They rarely share this information with others who are not close family or friends and the reason for their reluctance is precisely because of the reaction that you see from posters who cannot conceive that a person of color would consider voting for Trump. I wonder how many of these people there are and whether they get counted in the polls.
