Not among the 1 billion Muslims who actually know that there is no such thing as "Muslim" dress. Or anyone else with a clue.

No such thing as muslim dress? Whats the burka?

Read a book, for God's sake. Burqas are tribal dress, traditional in parts of Afghanistan and Central/South Asia, but as far as I know it is not a word included anywhere in the Koran. The Koran proscribes modest dress, which has been interpreted in wildly different ways depending on time period, social class, national/tribal customs. Modest dress itself is generally equated with veiling - which is typically called hijab in Arabic and Persian (not sure about other languages.) Some countries require this by law (Saudi, Iran), many others don't but it may be effectively required by social norms. That is more education on this issue than your semi-literate query deserves, but less than you need.

In the Persian or Farsi, the head and body cover is a chador, not a hijab which covers only the hair. Perhaps you should follow your own advice, PP.

Not pp but,
Farsi is a language
Persian is a culture
In Iran women can wear scarves to cover hair to meet government imposed requirements, no veil and, a "traditional" chador if they want to.
Iran fashion show - fyi

and in the streets today

No problems with that, right PP?

This. Or the non-Jewish guy who puts on a yarmulke to go to a Jewish funeral.
This is such a non-story.

Was he going to a Muslim funeral dressed like that?

Thanks PP for correcting the other PP. Hijab is used generically in Iran for modest dress, esp the expectation that women will cover their hair. Chador is the Persian equivalent of an abaya in Saudi Arabia. A manto is the cloak/coat/jacket that most younger/urban/upper middle class women wear instead of a chador; color, length, style varies widely. A rusari is a headscarf; a maghneh is the hooded scarf that you slip over your head. Both can be had in essentially any color. In Iran today, a really religious woman or someone in a high govt position will typically wear a manto and rusari or maghneh, with a chador on top!

I lived there, and wore every one of those at one point or another, not particularly well. But my Persian teachers would recoil at the notion that Farsi is the appropriate English word for the language. They insisted on calling it Persian - said calling it Farsi was like referring to the Spanish language as Espanol.

Is he forcing you to wear Muslim garb? Let's assume he's Muslim like you seem to think, did he impose his Muslim beliefs on you during his presidency? If he is Muslim, his presidency shows a Muslim can be president without Christians being rounded up, without Sharia law being imposed, etc. I think that's a positive thing because future Muslim candidates can point to him when people suggest a Muslim president will try to actively make America adhere to Muslim dress codes, Sharia law....

Look at the absolute racial chaos in the streets right now, as well as his obvious bias regarding illegal immigration. In addition, he seems to surround himself with those of the Muslim faith as well as those who are empathetic to those who commit terror.

It's not a good look.

This is Obama derangement syndrome in full force.

1) The racialized chaos in the streets has nothing to do with Obama - it has to do with the systemic violence against communities of color by agents of the state.

2) Obama has deported more undocumented immigrants than any president in American history.

3) Who are you referring to here? Muslims are not disproportionately represented in the White House. Jews are, but no one is making the case that Obama is overly sympathetic to the issues important to the Jewish people.

Who exactly is sitting at the helm of "agents of the state"?

President Obama.

That oft-quoted line about Obama deporting more illegal immigrants than any other president is wrong. The definition of "deported" was changed some years ago to include those who were turned away at the border, so under this new definition it seems Obama has deported more. But it's not comparing apples to apples.

You really don't understand how a federal system works, do you? Obama does not control local law enforcement.

Frankly? Yes. We are less safe because of him
