I've heard/seen several 80s throwback girl names lately:
Ashley Valarie Christina Kimberly |
|
Alvaro
Alonzo Gonzalo Leonzo Strong nice names for boys, imo. |
We flip flop from Maxwell to Max all the time, but it's mostly Maxwell. As for unusual names, my nephews are Henson and Hawksley. I joke with my sister that if they were hipsters in their 20's they would open a bar in Brooklyn called the Hen and Hawk and serve grass fed beef burgers with farm-to-table salads and small batch bourbon mixed drinks. Of course, I love them dearly, and their names suit them perfectly in reality. |

Unique names I've heard recently----
Xavi (Zah-vee) Tiago (Tee-ah-go) both boys and both names I like! I'm not a fan of common names. I love when parents pick a unique names that just nails. Well done mom and dad *applause* |

I'm from SoCal and my friends and family back home have some pretty "unique" baby names.
Waverly Dehvyn & Dyrryk Jennica Rainbow My fave are Ayden, Logen, Hayden and Jayden and their last name ends in en as well. |

Yea and they are a professional couple in their mid thirties who named their girl/boy twins that. Hipster yes but still you'd think only a 17 year old girl would name her children that. |
This is reminding me of the picture at my IL's of my nephew's baseball team in TX. Here were my favorite names - Aeron, Zerek and Kohltyn. No idea of the background of the parents, but since my BIL is a total loser living at home with his parents in his 40s with his 2 kids he had with someone barely out of her teens at the time who has since basically walked out of their lives, I don't have a lot of hope that these are children of UMC parents who just went a little wacky with naming. |
