Bingo! |
Shhhh! Yu Ying doesn't like to discuss it's non-immersion track. |
| Well if they weren't in the immersion track would you want them to be in an immersion class like that? Geez. What do you people want? |
It is a PE class, for goodness sakes. |
Which language classes do the YY non-immersion students take at DCI in 6th, 7th and 8th? |
Either Spanish or French obviously. |
What? Is this at other DL charters too or just Yu Ying? I had no idea. |
| (Please see the other thread on this topic) |
Wrong! DC was in full immersion. |
And should have added, the other YY kid was too. |
| Except that it isn't a self-contained special ed classroom. Nice try though. There may be some overlap with kids who have IEPs, but it isn't a catch-all. FWIW, my son receives special ed services and isn't in the non-immersion classroom so I know what I am talking about. |

All the latest posters are just awful. They don't know what they're talking about and are just being mean and vicious. The two kids probably had schedule conflicts that precluded PE in Chinese. It happens.
For what it's worth, the kids from YY who were in the alternative track continue in Chinese at a lower level (There are 4 levels of each of the three target languages, including a beginning track for lottery students who are new to the language and students still struggling to master basics). Really wonder why people attack YY and DCI for sped and language services when, in fact, they have been cited by OSSE for superior sped/504 services. Don't be crabs in a bucket! |
Sorry, should have said, "SOME of the latest posters" not All!!!!
