What about track &/or cross country? XC kids tend to be really nice & welcoming, not sure about the parents, though. |
Same with track & cross country. No drama over who is the “best”. & everyone cheers for other kids to get PRs. |
| This one is easy around here. Riding/equestrian. EASILY. |
I did fencing for a month or so and I *HATED* it. The kids and parents were horribly uptight/mean and there was no sense of team--it was every kid (and parent) for him/herself. |
Completely agree. We attended one meet when a kid was interested in riding. We almost ran from the place. It was absolutely toxic. And this wasn't even a big event. |
As an equestrian myself, I totally agree. The hunter ring is the worst. These parents with kids who can barely ride buy $100k ponies that the trainer schools in the warm up ring and then pop the kid on right before entering the class.

I'm from Leesburg and my godmother was a former nationally ranked equestrian/national team member who taught riding lessons out there, and the stories she had were CRAZY. |
It's the parents *and* the kids. Just awful. Talk about entitlement and every person for themselves. |
Thank you. |
Man, what a complete *sshole you are. And quite racist. |
Agreed. I've never seen anyone dressed up except for a mom or dad picking their kids up from practice on their way home from work. Which happens in every sport. When my son played youth football, there was one team where all the moms put on way too much makeup and jewelry and wore expensive matching shirts to every game. I hated them. |
Thank you. |
| We were very thankful that our boys dropped baseball. The parents weren't obnoxious but boy were they drunk by the end of the game. I was always tempted to call 911 before they started driving out of the parking lot. It was horrible. In retrospect I should have called. |
| IME dance and theater outdoes all the sports I've seen. |
