ok. Are you taking your bubble as a carry on?

No but why bother if I can fly to DCA? How often do you fly?

Fine. But I'm not joking. There is a picture of a passenger waiting for a plane at Dulles in a hazmat suit.

Perhaps the 460 point drop will finally get people's attention.

I felt bad after the first nurse got it but this second one must be a complete fucking idiot. She exposed her entire family? Wtf? Is she clueless? What sort of nursing school did she go to?

This is Obama's Katrina. I hope they get their asses in gear today and take some affirmative steps.

Didn't the hospital in Dallas work with the CDC to educate its staff about precautions to take after working with an Ebola patient? I'm so confused as to what, if anything, CDC is doing to work with healthcare systems, doctors, nurses, etc to educate them about how to deal with this and how to behave after they've treated infected patients. Now this girl has potentially exposed people in another American city - great.

This whole thing is a shit show. I cannot even believe it.

Doesn't this seem like it was a common sense action that should've been done from the outset?

Common Sense. Government. See the oroblem?

So I am absolutely not one to overreact and so far I haven't really been concerned. But I am scheduled to fly soon with my toddler and am really feeling unsettled about it. I can't believe she had a fever of 99.5 while flying, that she flew at all, that the plane is back in commission.

However, seeing that none of Duncan’s relatives have shown any symptoms of this virus and they were exposed to it when he had a low grade fever, I only hope the likelihood of anyone else contracting this virus is very, very low.

You are correct. The public will go nuts. I prepped (and am still prepping) not because I fear catching it, but because I have seen the panic over a few snowflakes

The past few years have been consumed with one crisis after another - Benghazi, Malaysian Flight 370, Ukraine, ISIS, Influx of illegal immigrants, and now, Ebola. And, these are just the big ones. There have been plenty others. Some of these were preventable, and some were not. This one could have been handled much, much, much better.
I am tired of our country consistently living on the edge of the next crisis.

Agree. The first nurse only had contact with her boyfriend and dog. The second nurse already had a fever when she got on a plane! WTF!
