Dubai, Georgetown and the Upper East Side?

Not really. The Average HHI on the Arlington side of the McLean/Arlington line is actually higher -- www.census.gov

Not really

According to the census both of you are wrong. Apparently 22101 and 22207 are more alike than you care to admit, Saudis or otherwise.

In fact Mean Family Income for both Zip Codes are virtually identical:

City Zip Mean Family
McLean 22101 $205,408.00
Arlington 22207 $200,642.00

Well, there's that, plus the fact that the wealthiest parts of McLean aren't adjacent to Arlington, whereas the wealthiest parts of Arlington are adjacent to McLean.

Actually the opposite appears to be true. The wealthy parts of Arlington seem to run along Military Road, at least a block group or two away from McLean -- whereas 22101 appears to get less wealthy as you move northwest from the border to Lewinsville.

The wealthiest Arlington census tracts are adjacent to census tracts in McLean. The wealthiest McLean census tracts are in the northern part of 22101 and further west in 22102, quite a distance from Arlington. In the aggregate, there are a lot more high income and net worth households in McLean and Great Falls than North Arlington.

I believe that statement to be true but mostly because north Arlington is considerably smaller. In fact great falls covers more land mass than all of Arlington County.

Also GF has no Apartment Buildings or even town houses and is therefore statistically anomalous.

Yes, really. See Arlington tract 1003 and McLean Tract 4703. If you look at these two large swaths of land on either side of the McLean/Arlington Border, you'll notice that the Arlington Tract has a higher Household Income:

Yes but do any of the mid-level Saudi Civil Servants live there?

I am so ashamed to live in the general North Arlington/McLean Area (not telling which one).

-Signed, someone moving to Bethesda

Pipe down bethesda, you are no better.

Most of Bethesda is far more attractive than N Arl/Mclean

To be honest I am surprised how much money is in n arl 22207...when you consider that High View and Halls Hill, both very very low income, are In 22207.

Great remark about Highview Park and Halls Hill, a former free slave village, the day after Martin Luther King Day.

Why would I give a fuck? I'm in N Arl 22201 with HHI of $650k.

I could care less what anyone else is doing.

The ones that care are the ones riding in their neighbors coattails and hoping we are all wowed by their zipcode.

FWIW-- I don't fucking know what most of the zipcodes people cite on this forum.

Good day, 90210.

Hard to convince us of your indifference when you not only post, but do so with repeated f-bombs.

Oh, and we supposed to be wowed by your HHI?

Yes- as much as I'm wowed by your zipcode. Even when I have no idea what area it correlates to.

And your point is? You seem awful preoccupied with racial codewords. Are you a racist? I was referring to income not race.

Nice confirmation bias. For every nice McLean home, there are 15 Mclean ramblers for the pretenders.

The McLean poster lives in a 3/2 rambler on a flood plane just blocks from prestigious Pimmit Hills

It's not... The census tracts on the Arlington side of the 22207/McLean border actually have higher incomes. Accordingly he's deflecting with an article meant to ascribe an exception to. Rule. Classic narcissism.

With all these so called rich Saudis in McLean, and the fact that Arlington is more economically diverse, you would think that 22101 -- which is McLeans richest zip code -- would have a significantly higher average household income. But it does not. Must mean all non Saudis in McLean have modest incomes?
