If you are a size 8, how much do you weigh?

5'6 and 165. I have no idea how I do it,but I'm a solid 8 in pants. Dresses I'm usually a 10 or 12 though

I am frequently a size 8 but sometimes a 10 depending on the brand. I am 5'10" and weigh around 145.

5'5" 140lbs and an 8, almost a 6. I do 1-1.5hrs of weight lifting/abs 4-5 days/week and 1hr of cardio 4-5 days/week so I'm a lot of muscle but petite.

Sizes have changed and I'm very confused. I remember quite well that in 1988, I wore size 8 jeans at 5.5 ft. and 130 lbs.

I'm slimmer now, at 122 lbs. and wear size 6 Lucky jeans and size 4 in dressier pants. Pant size range down to a 2 in women's. I call BS.

Dresses...all over the place, again. Interestingly enough, most of my dresses are the wrap kind and are XS or S. one dressy dress is a 4, another a 6.

I just try everything on and buy what fits. No wonder women get sound up on numbers. Makes zero sense!

Two piece bathing suit...bottom is always a size 10. Never smaller.

Really? I am 5'8", 133 and I wear a 2. And it's usually roomy.

I'm 5'8" and at 133 I'd be a 4 or a 6.

I think it completely has to do with muscle mass vs fat mass.

Two people can be the same weight and look completely different.

Here is a good example of two people the same weight, different fitness levels:

As someone who is fit, this is exactly why I don't compare myself or pay much attention to the scale. I work out to achieve a certain look, not to get to a particular weight. I have a pair of jeans that I used as my test for if I'm happy with where I'm at.

Not as much as you would think. I have DD implants from a B and it only added 2lbs and silicone is denser than fat. I was very suprised.

Muscle mass vs. fat mass, and bust size. Large breasts throw the whole scale out of whack.

I think those two women look to be the same size. One is definitely fitter or at least flexing more but if she stood straight up and was relaxed i think they would be pretty much identical in size (one would just have more muscles).

5'3" and weigh between 128-132. Size 8 in some brands/cuts and size 6 in others (and a ridiculous size 4 in certain Gap items).

Let me ask you a question, PP. Do you feel like you are a reasonably thin person? I'm the PP who is 5'6 and fluctuates from 148-155, and I feel like I would be perfect at 145. But then I see many of my friends who weigh in the 120s and I think I'd really like to look like them. Am I kidding myself that 145 looks great on a 5'6 woman? I have big boobs and a spare tire around my belly, but my legs are ok.

I just started reading this thread and am the PP who said +1 to 5'6, 145 lbs. Since I used to weigh 140, LOL, I often don't *feel* that thin, but my friends all say I'm "really thin" or "skinny."

I'm 5'6 and at 143 I feel too heavy. A lot of that is because I need to get back into lifting-- I'm flabby. I looked best when I was about 133 and had more muscle tone.
